Games devs shouldn't be forced to do anything, but it certainly would be cool!

All games should be much harder and much less accessible to anyone actually

Every gamer that respects him or herself has to play on the game's intended difficulty, no save states, console must keep running the game at all times, fail once and start over again. That's how real warriors were forged in the old times.

Sure, got no problem with that. Doesn't really affect my enjoyment of the game and if I can then talk to more people about the game, the better.

Elden ring is already an easy game so it doesn't need an easy mode

yes but have one of the difficulties be labeled as the “intended experience.” game designers will usually specifically craft experiences around a certain level of difficulty they have in mind, so tacking on an easy mode or hard mode can completely mess up the pacing at times

Games should have accessibility options for disabilities, but how much it challenges players should be left to the developers. If the devs want want to make a difficult game, they'll make a difficult game, and whoever cannot beat it is cordially invited to acquire some skill.

I think games like Celeste and Dark Souls/Elden Ring prove there's no reason not to have ways of adjusting difficulty. The latter uses modular difficulty with the various weapons, magic, equipment and spirit ashes/summons allowing the player to make it as easy/hard as they want.
