Goku is a good and caring father, and I won't hear otherwise. I have rewatched DBZ from the beginning in the last year, currently at the Buu saga, and this framing of Goku as a bad dad is totally wrong. He cares about and for his sons to a great degree.

Going out to buy a pack of smokes is cheaper, quicker, and more dignified.
