Some people love difficulty, ER is one of the tougher games. I would love to play it again, but no way in hell will I go through that again. Not worth my time or frustration, many friends agree. If there were an easier mode, the replay & retention on this game would be higher

easy mode is too hard, I need a mode where it just gives me all the achievements and a cliffnotes of the story, just in case anyone questions if I played that game or not /s

No. Absolutely not. Games shouldn't try to appeal to everyone, otherwise it'll appeal to no one. That's why it's up to each individual teams with their own vision to decide if that's what they want.

I think every game should have something to make it a bit easier if they choose... elden ring is a good example, can't beat a boss... summon help... something around that idea but you should also be rewarded for going through such hard difficulty so everyone gets something

Should is a strong word. The game devs should do whatever they want, including what difficulties they want to include.

What the game is and should be should only be dictated by the dev's visions for the game. Its the dev's choice if they want the product to be for a broader audience,or a more specific kind of audience.
