Does the creators vision not matter anymore? If Miyazaki wants his games to be extra difficult, he is entitled to make them as such. There are obviously more than enough people who are up to the challenge.

ER has easy mode. It's not a slider or a menu option, but you can choose how to play to make it easier for you. The question should be: Is this generation of gamers so stupid that they need the game to be spoonfed in order to finish it?

Yes My only asks are; don't heckle me to turn it on if i die 100 times AND don't make easy mode invincible mode

Singleplayer: dont give a shit. Do what you want. Multiplayer: sure just keep it separate like a lot of events in games do. You pick a difficulty and you only get matched with others on that difficulty

No, games don't need to be accessible for evwryone same as books

Yes. But....Define "easy mode". There are many ways to make games easier.

I’ll take it: No. Getting Over It would lose its point with an easy mode, so would Pathologic. Also, difficulty depends on vastly different factors from game to game, so not every game can even accomodate a selection. …oof, hope I‘ll stand by this for a while…

Doesn't Japan dumb down game difficulty for other regions already? I remember reading an article once that said games released in Japan had the normal modes dumbed down when published in other regions (Japans normal being equal to NA hard) Or is that only with retro games?

Again with this shit? No, easy mode are for games like parties or racing, not anything involving Soulsborne

still never understand how people want to try and ruin a creators work just so it can be played by EVERYONE, if the game is too hard for you then dont play. the whole point to these games is the difficulty and overcoming it, if it's too much then it's not for you.
