If the game heavily relies on it's mechanic(like tetris), then yes Hard mode is a must DMC/Bayonetta is a good example of a level cap through combo And I wouldn't enjoy witcher 3 as much if I didn't, use sign, learn the bestiary, drink potions, and basically prepare for battle

I'd be interested to see what the overlap is for people who say that soulsbourne games shouldn't have difficulty levels "because that's how they're designed to be played" and people who complain that "Pokemon is too easy nowadays"

No. Accessibility options? Absolutely. An easy mode option or slider? Nah

No, the game should have exactly what the developers want it to have, if the main vision for the game is that it has no easy mode, so be it, if you don't think you're up to the challenge, it's okay, there are plenty of games around.

As long as normal Is too hard and there Is no setup to make it easier (equipment, tools, spells, better route...) Also depends the game. If the game entire premise Is Its story. Then the level of Challenge doesnt matter. If the game point Is the Challenge. Then it needs challenge

Easy mode? No. Accessibility features? A must

should not have an easy mode, but should have accessibility options make the game balanced around one singular difficulty and let players choose their own easy mode
