I was thinking the article may have been funnier if it was just empty but this is pretty good ngl

Games and the rules/challenges therein are arbitrary. Funny how the discourse around difficulty regressed. Back in the day, if it was too hard, we just cheated. Crying about other people not ruining their own experiences with arbitrary shit is slave morality. Seethe and cope.

No, just like not every game needs a goddamn multiplayer mode

This isn't bad, but I feel like, "Man who didn't read article, tells you why game shouldn't have easy mode" is more spicy

Yes, but I also think more games should have a difficulty scaling system. Like, take Dark Souls: have it start very easy, and then slowly scale forward as the player obviously becomes more in-tune with the combat system until it reaches its standard difficulty setting.

I remember when elden ring had an easy mode.

Game devs shouldn't feel like they NEED to add easy mode, but if Fromsoft was to add an easy mode to Elden Ring I wouldn't be upset like I've seen some people get. If devs want to make a hard game or an easy game that's their right.

Developers can do whatever they want and the public needs to stop acting like they should dictate anything to any of them.
