I think videogames, as artistic objects, need to be left untouched in this regard. Despite the interactivity, what's important is the creator's vision. Books for example, u don't get easier versions of them. There are summaries, yes... (+)

Nope, the whole identity of all the souls games is the difficulty of them. Besides an easy mode already exists, summons. Summons can be very helpful with helping defeat a boss or taking simply aggro away from you so you can heal away from the boss

I don't think so. Besides Elden Ring has plenty "easy modes" it just takes a bit of effort to use that. I bounced off every single Dark Souls and even my clumsy ass beaten Elden Ring while having a blast like I didn't had in years while playing(not at the Haligtree tho).

Depends on the dev. If he doesn't want an easy mode and markets the game as a tough game than you have no right to question it. There is value in people not playing the game because its too hard for them, it makes completing that game feel more satisfying.
