Who says they don't?

It's a terrible meeting of "trying to match pre-rendered lip movements", "translated script to match the pre-rendered dialogue timing" and "not enough in the budget to hire better actors".

I just want them to have a normal tone of voice and not sound like they're in a high school play. Because it just makes me think they're shit at voice acting.

Anyone that Nintendo hires to say anything, dubbed or not, sounds like there’s someone off camera with a gun aimed at them. I can’t even watch Treehouse stuff.
