I'm in this article... and surprisingly I don't hate it. It's why I *love* quest markers and objective markers, it gives me something to avoid so I can keep exploring and not trigger some cutscene that prevents going back.

Hey, devs, please find a nice way to go "If you keep going this way you wont be able to keep exploring this area. Do you wish to continue?" in your level design.

Doing this bit my ass as recently as playing Forgotten Land and I got to the first mall level and went down the wrong hall on purpose to see if anything was there, not knowing they were gonna be one-way screen transitions
