I'd love to pay $60 for a new TV remote, instead of them being so cheap that the cable company doesn't even keep track of them anymore

It is insane google or apple hasn't created a universal remote software system that's baked into phones and pushed hard. Basically every TV/console/media player would adopt it if the big phone companies pushed it and it would be so nice to have everything play well together
