I once read a comic on the site that said that they would see the articles pop up on their phones "feed" and there was nothing indicating it was satire, I think that's why a lot of people tend to think it's real.

this is definitely the culprit (and it's not something we have any control over afaik) but we try pretty hard to make sure our articles are obviously a joke, so it's pretty funny to me when people get tricked nonetheless
