I ain't the best roleplayman, but once played a paladin who gave 1/3 his cash rewards to the people he rescued. Didn't really get anything for it beyond being the only one whose alignment wasn't skin-deep. RIP

this is why my next character will be a wizard named ‘Bitchboi Bran’. he has a severe obsession with the color green and hasn’t seen the letter ‘U’ in 64 years. and that’ll be the only context for him.

players: you do not need a detailed backstory to roleplay effectively I am begging you please don't look like that at me when you insist on "smiting evil" "because my backstory" and get crushed
