70€ has been the norm in my country for PS4 titles. New PS5 titles cost 80€, or almost $95. Sony needs to up the dystopianism in America, they're really falling behind.

Given how much fuss people have made about $70 video games I was surprised when I realised that’s about £50, when in the UK £60 games has long been a thing and £50 has long been pretty standard

That's why steam sales are a thing. I'm never in a hurry to try out new games day 1 knowing that I'll just be another paid beta tester for the Devs. Might as well get the game at half the price with all the bugs ironed out
