How about just make them more than the token gay character? Focus on writing a good character, first, who happens to be gay.

The list becomes 102 if they are a woman or black... 377 if they are trans. I'm no bigot, I'm just saying the writers better be perfect with the back story and justification for anything that isn't a nerdy white male. /S

If I ever make a game I would add 2 gay characters in it just to get the game banned in countries with an anti-LGBT+ government.
