Everyone wants to be the "Ideas Guy".

It’s me, I’m Man With Really Cool Idea For Game(s).

You can be the idea guy, but you have to write a detailed game design document. With sketches, diagrams, research and plans, not only for gameplay, controllers, ui, music, systems, sound, characters and plot, but also monetization, funding and business.

Everyone likes the idea of being a designer, right up until they realize it's a hardcore communications job where your own ideas matter very little.

So... volunteers, thats the first red flag, second he has no experience in coding, game design, or anything needed to create a video game, and an idea wont do. This dosent sound like a good plan.

Another way of reading the title someone wants to make a game off a "unique" idea they had , but doesn't want to do any of the actual stressful work involved in making a game.

Speaking as a writer for hoi4 mods, I can confirm that the infamous "idea guy" (an artistic/writer type guy who likes to design stuff but doesnt actually code any of it) is a figure who is despised on a level that borders on psychopathic rage. Dont know if that's universal
