I was 6 when that came out and I was super hyped for it. I was so confused after watching it though.

The greatest legacy of the movie is either the story about Leguizamo and Hoskins being drunk on set half the time or the scene of Dennis Hopper pointing and saying “monkey!”

Very unwatchable

It might be a crappy take on Super Mario Brothers, but it's a great sci-fi/fantasy movie. That is what's so awful and great about it. If they just didn't bother doing the stupid Mario theme, it would have been an incredible movie.

I never did acid but I can imagine what it's like when I watch this movie
