You have to code every interacting piece, every interaction those pieces have and then so much more. The coding is probably insane

If anything it's OVER COMPLICATED, but in a stupid way. For example, Kirby's skin is 8 separate material shaders with color maps that do literally nothing, as opposed to making one "skin" texture for the whole model, they chose to make 8 of the same thing but "different"
