How is a broken peripheral an IT problem? Was there a driver issue? I’m with IT on this. And it sounds like he does system support which means he shouldn’t be dealing with workstation issues. Call help desk.

This hits very different when you're working IT. I've had people come down, interrupting me in the middle of my work because the Mail app on their phone has a different icon now. Submit a fucking ticket so I can ignore it until I've solved literally every other genuine issue!
