I finished the game last night and, other than some tedious exploration, I absolutely loved it. I can not possibly fathom why it got so heavily review-bombed. Did people just take the ending at face value without understanding any of the context?

I'm noticing a serious trend in fanbases going absolutely livid when a story doesn't go the way they want it to. They think they're right about everything and so when a story goes in a different direction it's "sUbVeRtInG eXpEcTaTiOnS" or "bAd WrItInG"
