PS3 can play CDs... it's just the PS4 that cannot. My car is the last thing that can play my audio tapes though... all my other devices have broken down. lol

All DVD and BD players are backwards compatible with CDs actually... Same with consoles that function as such a device. Wii can have the functionality added using softmods too. AFAIK you can't add the functionality to the Wii U though.
