The only way to travel

Gotta make it like GTA 4, where you can get in a taxi to fast travel, but you have to pay to arrive there immediately.

hardly ever used fast travel during horizon zero dawn, even after i'd unlocked each area of the map

there's a difference between "slog through terrain fileld with endlessly respawning enemies" and "get on a horse and gallop to the next town over". IMO as long as enemies insta-respawn on zone-in (or worse in front of you as static-patrols MMO/WoW style) fast travel is king.

The great thing about horizon is I unlocked fast travel right away but I only felt inclined to use it when I was like 40 hours in
