With inflation running rampant, we need real solutions to rein in out-of-control spending. We cannot spend our way to prosperity. Our Responsible Budget Target Act will deliver balanced budgets and decrease wasteful government spending.

A few facts: First, Trump added $7.5 trillion and Emmer and the GOP don't worry about that because they really don't care about deficits. Second, the estimated amount is $2.5 trillion, not $4.8. Finally, we don't know yet how inflation and growth could reduce the deficit.
