During the initial rollout of the Emergency Rental Assistance Program, the Inspector General of the Treasury was given the authority to oversee the distribution of relief dollars to ensure that taxpayer money was being used for its intended purpose.

However, when @HouseDemocrats pushed through a second round of funding earlier this year, they included NO oversight from the IG- leaving no safeguard that these funds would be spent appropriately.
