I recently heard the story of Sixth District veteran Russ Jorgenson. Russ served as a Tech Sergeant in WWII from June of 1942 to November of 1945 with the 19th bomb squadron and 22nd bomb group, flying in B-24’s as a radio operator and gunner. Thank you for your service, Russ.

The men and women who take an oath to protect our nation do so with great bravery and risk enormous personal sacrifice. It makes sense that veterans’ commitment to service would continue after their time in the military has ended.
