Design Council CEO Minnie Moll closes the festival and announces that the next Design for Planet will be between 16-18 October 2023, just before next year's COP. It will be held at the University of East Anglia, which Moll says has a great reputation in the climate science field.
A panel of speakers, including PearsonLloyd co-founder Tom Lloyd and Studio Morrama founder Jo Barnard, discuss how designing for repair and changing models of ownership are the part of "next practice" product design.

The Ellen MacArthur Foundation's strategic design director Marc Buckley says designers should aim to treat "the root cause" of waste rather than the symptoms, adding that sometimes designers need to "widen the scope of what they’re designing to create a circular outcome".
