@networkrail I don't want to park my bike at the station, I want to take the fucker with me so.i have a viable mode of transport at the other end. Bring back guards vans please so we can get more than 2 bikes on a train without pissing off everyone else.

As a designer and a cyclist, what bothers me most about this, if this was a car parking facility, the design fee would be significantly more than 12K and wouldn't be a competition it would go out to tender to find the most appropriate Architect/Engineers/Designers for the job.

You can't go to a restaurant and say "I want everything on the menu; the best you can do, but I'm only paying the price I want, for the one meal I like". That is effectively what this is. For more on unethical design competitions nospec.com @nospec

More space for bike racks, just plain Sheffield bike racks. More spaces for bikes on trains. There, fixed it for you.

Why is a mere £12,000 being spent on a ‘competition’ when we can just look across the North Sea to the Netherlands for proven solutions. We just have to start modernising our stations 5 at a time until the job is done
