We appreciate the craft behind the duality of face/torch but left wondering what it’s got to do with sport. Doesn’t project celebratory feeling of the games or sense of the location. Love that they’re doing something different (like London) but it's a too static. 2012 had energy

London was the first time both Olympic and Paralympic emblems shared the same form!

In terms of design it's not great but, not terrible either. I think they are trying to make headlines with the double symbolism but, it's just a bit boring.

Maybe the Flaming Lips could do the opening ceremony with their ‘Race for the prize’ tune
