The Covid excuse is getting old. It's getting on 2 years now. This is something you should have planned for, or at least been used to. You were going to release a game early. Just admit it.

The past couple of years have not been easy on anyone. The team adapted well to working remotely, but we underestimated the impact that not being physically in the studio would have. So while COVID is not the entire reason for the delay, it is a contributing factor.

I only see the game industry using this excuse. The industry that should have the easiest time adapting. This excuse is weak sauce and a easy way to pass the buck. The game is nowhere near done. That's fine, whatever. But don't set a release date on your first trailer.
