It is with great sadness that we confirm the passing of our friend Mike “IdolNinja” Watson. Mike joined Volition as a Saints Row fan. He left us as a Community Manager and a Developer woven indelibly into the heart of our studio.

He was a warm, thoughtful and genuine person that uplifted and guided his friends and colleagues.

Writing to the Steam Community when announcing his illness, Mike said: “Anyone that knows me, understands that I have the deepest love for both the people at Volition and our community.

I hope I was able to shine a light on how we make games and who we are as both developers and people, and maybe make everyone's day just a little bit brighter in some small way.” Mike, Volition loves you too, our hearts are broken and we will miss you every day.
