It is with great sadness that we confirm the passing of our friend Mike “IdolNinja” Watson. Mike joined Volition as a Saints Row fan. He left us as a Community Manager and a Developer woven indelibly into the heart of our studio.

What? Mike is gone? I... I actually wanna scream or cry. I loved that guy. Idk when this happened. Ive been so busy i didnt even know. But knowing now im so sad. I hope he is living his best afterlife. Kicking ass and making more people happy. R.I.P. Mike. The legend himself.

I don’t think anyone will ever truly know how much Mike has done for the community, both publicly and especially behind the scenes. Even in his final weeks, all his strength was spent working on the PC patch for SR2. I loved Mike and I’ll forever be thankful for knowing him.

its hard to believe i remember talking to him on here once and on steam when he announced the saints row 2 pc port coming in the future, i remember asking him a question about mods and it kind of sucks because he was talking about making a gotr2 mod for it when it was released.

We only ever spoke a few times throughout the years but IdolNinja was always such a huge presence in the Saints Row community, it won't be the same without him. RIP.

Hate to see the only true Saint amongst you demons go. Y'all need to get that patch done and release. Not for the community but for Mike. Its SR2 started his career. And he died working on fixing it.

I've enevn managed to communicate with him personally. Great person he was and reacted kind of my Russian adaptation of SR4 trailer. As well a great loss for me personally.
