@DSVolition i may have missed something but why cant saints row 2 be remastered? The source code was found so whats stopping you? I understand theres a new saints row game in development but wouldnt a sr2 remaster thats highly requested be so much more profitable as well?

A port or remaster is never anywhere close to as profitable as a new game. The decision is made by the publisher and not the studio, and the work is outsourced to other studios while we focus on creating new content.

Idk about not being profitable, games like yakuza 0 having one of the best remasters out there, a lot of sr related things request a sr2 remaster, theres really no harm of losing much. But if its outsourced and publishers wont make the decision then its just lost potential profit
