There’s something I want to add to a certain conversation going on right now and it’s the bottom line that autism is an explanation, not an excuse. Hyperfixations and struggles with social cues can explain why someone would do something bad without being a malicious person.

Just because a person is responding to you, acting like they're enjoying the conversation and/or remaining silent, doesn't mean they aren't uncomfy.
I acted like that in a similar situation before, and I can assure you, that does not mean consent.

imo when it comes to boundaries, the other person doesn't have to relay them to you unless you ask beforehand and make sure they're okay with whatever it is you're doing.
There's no way Emily could have predicted you were gonna be talking about feet, that's why you should ask.

I'm glad that he learned from his mistakes here, but it shouldn't have happened in the first place.
Chugga should have definitely *asked* about boundaries first before doing anything that would be considered weird.
