I have to admit it, I really love having autism. I used to be really upset about "not fitting in", but now that I have easier access to my fixations and interests and the closest supportive friend I've ever had, I feel like I wouldn't be as happy if I didn't have autism y'know

I used to wish that people would be able to get rid of it sometime in the future. Especially during school. But now I feel like I wouldn't be where I am today without it. I love having my interests and having people care about them lol

The only real bad thing I could say about having autism has been (and I feel always will be) other people. I'll never understand why some neurotypicals think it's "funny" to go out of their way to make neurodivergent people uncomfortable. Not cool.

Yeah, from my experience it has its ups and downs (The sensory overload meltdowns and social anxiety absolutely suck) but I think it’s helped me make friends with other people with the same interests as me and I wouldn’t get rid of it at all.

I honestly should make another test in the hospital, I've made two and they said I'm not autistic but I really doubt that's the case. I'm able to express in public and all but, I don't know, I also feel weird and not fitting.

Kinda the same for me it’s not that long ago I was diagnosed but I kinda had a hunch I had it.

My personal experience with ASD has been that while it sucks sometimes, I cannot say that it's overall worse than not having ASD. Granted, I don't know what not having ASD feels like. I could read up on it however much I want, but I'll never be able to fully understand others.
