People that don't blame themselves for doing the Geno route, missed the entire point of the Geno route lol
What Undertale hot takes will get you into THIS silly scenario?

Geno isn't a result of "Chara" or anyone else. Geno route is triggered because of your own curiosity of "what if I abuse the game's mechanics?" The entire point of the Sans battle is that it's too hard so you feel obligated to give up and Reset. It's great narrative storytelling

I know this probably isnt true, but the idea that toby intentionally made the Weird route in DR solely to put that in people’s heads is hilarious that I’m just going to believe it.

In fairness, such meta narratives are still relatively new, and the average player is unlikely to think of themselves as a character in the story.

definitely blame myself but tbh if they wanted others to get the point sans should've been harder

LIKE WE ARE THE ONES THAT MADE CHARA BAD YOU CONVINCE THEM THAT NOTHING ELSE MATTERS BESIDES ‘COMPLETION’

I think because there are few games where the player is an explicit & seperate in-universe entity & because undertale dances around the fourth wall and our presence so much, some people come away seeing the message as a metaphor with Chara or frisk being the in-universe cause.

This is exactly why i never did a Geno run myself. I don't mind watching other people commit atrocities but i sure as hell won't do it myself

I don't blame myself because save files are canon, so I know they aren't dead forever

I'm sorry but I thought you were making some sort of meme like the salt route about an UT route where you recruit Geno from Super Mario RPG

What if I blame myself and then not feel guilty about it
