I never understood the excuse of "People can't use They/Them because they're not two people!" Do they not realize that English has words with more than one meaning? April's a month AND a name, you don't see people refusing to use the name April because "they aren't a month"

If someone ever tells you they won't use your preferred pronouns because you aren't two people, tell them this statement and they'll either understand it or have no response. People who refuse to use They/Them have zero concept of English grammar.

DUDE! I see people using this excuse all the time and then use they/them in "What do they want me to call them then!"

Also, if anyone tries to argue that "singular they" is grammatically incorrect, they should know that the first use of a "singular they" predates the modern use of commas by about 115 years (1375 vs 1490)
