I never understood the excuse of "People can't use They/Them because they're not two people!" Do they not realize that English has words with more than one meaning? April's a month AND a name, you don't see people refusing to use the name April because "they aren't a month"

If someone ever tells you they won't use your preferred pronouns because you aren't two people, tell them this statement and they'll either understand it or have no response. People who refuse to use They/Them have zero concept of English grammar.

also speaking to a singular person with they/them works perfectly and is actually used. when you are speaking about a person who's gender was not yet mentioned, you use stuff like "what did THEY do?" "who are THEY?" "go talk to THEM"

9 times out of 10, someone who complains about Singular They has used singular they in their last 10 tweets. Hell, sometimes it's the same damn one. If you're going to be bigoted can you at least be coherent? Good lord. 🤣

They/Them can be seen as a replacement for "him or her"/"he or she". So instead of saying "I don't know his or her name", you would say "I don't know their name". Which just shortens the sentence, which everyone loves.

Anytime someone says that “They/Them” aren’t proper pronouns I will always assume they never fucking passed English class Even in writing people will use “They/Them” to refer to a character, like holy shit people DUMB
