Im cis cis isn't a slur

Reality is this isn't about cis being a slur...it never was...it's about controlling the language in order to try and get trans people to be invalid by default "haha actually women are adult FEMALES! There is no such thing as trans just blablablabla"

they don’t actually see it as a slur, they just see it as a word that ackowledges the existence of trans people and since they want us to not exist they don’t want to see it which is really why we should say it as much as possible

Where does the word cis come from? Like I understand trans means transitioning from one gender to another, but I can’t seem to understand the logic behind cis.

My guess is because they associate the terminology with trans people, seeing it as rhetorical and would rather them stfu. Those guys who hate being called cis don’t get it, or have never taken a chemistry class in their lives.
