cis isn't a slur I don't understand why people can't understand that it literally just means you aren't trans So if you're refusing to be called cisgender I guess you're trans then????? How can people not wrap their heads around this

I find it extremely funny that transphobes hate being called cisgender because they think it means they're trans or something, but by refusing to be called cisgender that implies that they're literally trans.

I'm a dragon on the internet, I'm not cis, trans, demi, fluid, anything. Dragon. Rawr.

No one is stupid enough to think it's slur or anything similar. They just hate that there is an adjective for non-trans people because it helps normalize trans folk. The fact that you can call a cis woman a woman, implies that you can call a trans woman a woman, and they hate it

they don't want to admit that trans people exist, by calling yourself cis you are thereby admitting that there's an opposite, that trans people exist and are valid. they don't like trans people existing therefore they don't like being called cis.

Yeah people hate when the status quo is defined precisely rather then just being called "normal" which they attempt to exclude queer people from. Bigots don't like to be reminded that being queer is just as normal as being cishet, it takes their power away.
