If I was not allowed to be a woman as a minor, I don't know where I would be today. Ever since I've been true to my true self, I've been way happier than I've ever would have been if I was expressing myself as someone I wasn't. Kids can't afford to wait until they're 18.

On top of things, it is very rare for children to even obtain surgery before they're 18. At most, kids before puberty will just get a pronoun/name change and/or puberty blockers. Then begin HRT in their teenage years. I've seen so much misinformation about this, it's baffling.

"But children can't consent until they're 18!" This isn't a sexual thing and using that claim sexualizes our entire community. This is not a sexual thing. We just want to live our lives happily. We aren't harming anyone so I don't understand why you can't let us be happy.

Individuals, especially politicians, who have never been through what we have to go through, should never be allowed to dictate who we are. Leave us alone and mind your business. For people who are in this community; keep fighting. We'll win someday, I love every last one of you
