Just realized that calling it "Nintendo Switch Sports" is a weird decision. Considering that the Wii is the "Nintendo Wii" but Nintendo just called the game "Wii Sports". I feel like they still could have gotten away with "Switch Sports" but "Nintendo Switch Sports" is a mouthful

Probably because the console was heavily marketed as the "Nintendo Switch" rather than just "The Switch" like how the Wii was. I guess they would like to stay consistent with the brand, but still "Nintendo Switch Sports" is a long name.

I've always disliked that decision honestly, adding "Nintendo" to the start of every time they mention the Switch is already a mouthful and sounds kinda off to me, and it's not like people are gonna assume it's made by microsoft or anything
