Shorts only calculate one thing the most, retention percentage viewed. Shorts have an automatic loop feature. The shorter your short is, the more it can loop, the higher percentage viewed. Thus resulting in more views :3 133% of my audience watched the video all the way.

Likes and other things also are factors in this, but percentage viewed seems to be the most calculated stat in terms of getting your short shown to people. It's much more busted than average view duration that's for sure Also CTR makes up like 1% of getting your short shown :3
