how come buffering is a thing on the internet but not on cable tv

Because the internet works with packages that have to be received and assembled and you also have to share bandwidth with other things that need internet. Cable TV on the other hand is just a constant signal being sent, which the cable box only has to decode

Cause then you would only be able to do one thing per cable going to the ISP. Cable TV works so seamlessly cause the same signal is being sent constantly to everyone
