why do i keep seeing people have twitter users with red following and followers what does it mean i assume it's bad but i have no idea what it is

for me, its a google chrome extension galled shinigami eyes. basically what it does is i can mark people as trans friendly [green] or transphobic [red], and if enough people marks someone as something, their name will be that color for everyone who uses the extension
