if you don't know the pronouns of someone you can literally just use they instead of going out of your way to say he/she or he or she

not saying I'd do it, just saying I've seen enough interactions that, in my mind, would be enough to justify putting the two extra pronouns they aren't going out of their way to use they, they just wanna be careful
