I tried the brows the short section of the YouTube app and I don't understand... does the algorithm just not function there? It was David Dobrik, welding, tiktok clips, battlefield highlights, F1(?) Racing and military memes. Is disliking a short the only option?

The normal algorithm isn't the same there no. From my minimal time using that section, it seems to give you almost random (but not quite?) shorts and then will continue pumping out similar ones based on the ones you spent the longest time watching without scrolling by.

Like I got a random horror story short and I watched that one all the way through and then like the next 10 shorts I scrolled through were from the same content creator, and I'm not even into horror lol

Gotcha. It makes sense, but thats lame. At least on the normal youtube experience I can hit not interested for the illusion of choice.
