Redditors bought a lot of gamestops stocks to make its value go up and make Wallstreet people lose money bc they expected the stock to go down instead of up losing billions of dollars

Hedgefonds bet a lot of money on GameStop going out of business. Reddit saw that and invested tons into GameStop making the stock go up. The hedgefonds lost the bet and thus lost an insane amount of money

The rich make money off knowing that GME/GameStop's failing Reddit makes GME not fail Redditors make millions, rich people lose billions The rich gets super mad and gets the people who own Robinhood to block GME (doing that is illegal, market manipulation to protect the rich)
