Just because you disagree with someone politically or don't share the same opinions as them doesn't mean you can't help them with their mental health. I know I've made enemies in the past, but if anyone is willing to vent to me I'll let them even if we have disagreements.

No this doesn't mean you need to let every person vent to you. It means that if someone is suffering and you've made war with them in the past, doesn't mean you can't let them unload their mind to you. I'd rather disagree with them than have them do something regrettable.
