I made a similar post like this on Twitter before, but I've been struggling with sleep throughout all of my life and my current solution is... questionable. Can anyone give me some advice to make falling asleep more bearable/confirm just how unhealthy my current solution is?

Games are a good way to fall asleep to as long as you don't want a consistent sleep schedule. Personally I play SpongeBob in the background and listen to the audio and try to visualize the episodes in my head considering I have most of them memorized.
