I'm gonna be honest I don't see why NSMB2 gets so much hate. I thought it was a pretty good game, and I still think it is.

The reason why the nsmb games get the hate they do isn’t because ppl think they’re bad (I actually find them quite fun), it’s just cause they’re kinda samey and bland and don’t do that much to innovate on the previous entries in the series

Makes sense, but why do people hate nsmb2 specifically the most

It's because they basically copied everything over from NSMBWii. With that being said, I love the aesthetic, level design, and new ideas. I think I prefer it over Wii.

It's because it's clearly very minimal effort compared to something like 3D Land. NSMB2 is like Newer without the new music or boss fights but created by a giant corporation :p

I don't know why but the art style for it always feels just different enough from the others that it feels more unique. Either way, I enjoyed my time with it!

I think most complaints about it come from that it feels a bit generic compared to the others? Although I kinda feel that way about the game I don't hate it necessarily. It's still pretty good.

Me too! I especially like that one special world level (I don’t remember which one) where it’s night, it’s really pretty.

I don’t really get surprised by this kinda stuff anymore. If it’s on the internet, it’s blindly hated by somebody. That doesn’t mean I won’t defend it though.
