Minecraft 1.8 and the old 4J Studios version of the game were both the best versions of Minecraft. Anything after that point just doesn't feel the same.

When you say 4J, do you mean the console versions before bedrock? Because I loved those and the minigames feel like a fever dream

So I went to redownload it and I found that, on the switch, It's still up and the minigames have a lot of players still, if you were into that

I know what you mean, and you can play those versions any time, but they’re just trying to keep their game alive

Minecraft from 1.9 onward felt different (good, imo) and the more updates after the more it felt like not the same minecraft from 2012-2014, and i think the devs know this which is why they changed a bunch of textures and added features that people say feel like mods

Personally I think that almost all of the updates were really good additions to the game but I started playing in like 1.11 so what do I know.
